Rob, out walking his dogs, thought "I wonder if there is a podcast about Brewdog?" A quick search revealed... well, nothing.
As the saying goes, if you want it, make it [that's a saying, right?] So he decided to make a Brewdog podcast himself.
Being as Rob spends too much time reading up on the latest happenings on the Equity For Punks forum, a recap of the recent Brewdog announcements and happenings made sense, and thus the Brewdog News Podcast was born.
As a shareholder himself Bruce was keen to get involved and they subsequently spoke to "Fakevox" aka Peter Brown, who also agreed to come along for the ride.
The show started, with the help of crowdfunding, with the 'AGM special' on the 6th April 2018.
The Brewdog story started in 2007 when James Watt and Martin Dickie got fed up of industrially brewed lagers and stuffy ales, so they started their mission to make other people as passionate about craft beer as they are.
Fast forward to 2020 where there now have four huge Brewdog breweries, more than 100 bars, over 2500 cicerone trained employees, and a staggering 120000 shareholders helping shape the future of craft beer all around the world.
Oh, and if that’s not enough, don’t forget there’s OverWorks the sour beer brewery, Brewdog Distilling co (the outstanding distillery), hotels, museums, and more.
This podcast aims to keep you up to date on the big stories. We will dig deep on Brewdogs often controversial business goals and we’ll all enjoy a cold fresh glass of beer as we follow the apparently inevitable journey towards the stock market launch and beyond.
